- Interrogate or translate a reference as a way of understanding it
- A line of enquiry that articulates your making
- Contextualising words for example – through layouts and arrangements + making iterations of these arrrangements
- Consider a dictionary – draw on these references + perhaps in a teaching context
- Children’s instructional tools as overlapping with political or ideological/ political subjects. For example, ladybird for gown ups
- Visual forms of language and history of these forms + the role of illustration
- Pronunciation(s) across the world and how it changes
- Choose a reference that has depth of content!
